DELMAS – The Delmas Pastors Fraternal hosted an exam prayer for the 2024 Victor Khanye Circuit matric class, alongside motivational sessions to help the learners combat their fears and anxiety during the exams. The session took place at the Delmas Joheva Conference Centre on October 17, 2024.
The Executive Mayor of Victor Khanye Local Municipality (VKLM), Vusi Buda, delivered a motivating speech to the 2024 matriculates. “Since they’ve worked hard throughout the year, what they need to do now is stay disciplined and ensure they review everything they’ve learned. At this point, it’s all about revising for the exams and showcasing what they’ve accomplished over the course of the year. We urge the students to remain disciplined, stay focused, and give their best effort to succeed in the exams,” Buda expressed.
Speaking on behalf of the Delmas Pastors Fraternal, Bishop Lewis Hlumbane shared with Highveld Chronicle the reason for the prayer session with the matriculants. “The purpose of this 2024 matric prayer was to support and protect our learners, shielding them from the spirit of fear and darkness. That’s why we gathered with the Department of Education—to stand side by side with our children. We trust in God, as the preacher said today, ‘No weapon formed against us shall prosper,’” he shared.
He also wished the matriculants well in their future endeavours, as they will soon be leaving school to embark on new journeys after high school. The prayer session was supported by the Department of Education, VKLM, and Delmas First.
