Emalahleni witnessed a dazzling celebration on October 19, 2024, at The Ridge, where Emihle “Emza” Sanela was crowned the Face of Emalahleni 2024 during the 10th anniversary crowning ceremony. Emihle Sanela, who also took home the title of Miss Photogenic, received R50,000 in prize money, a gym membership at Planet Fitness, and an opportunity to further her studies at ABM College South Africa.

In the Miss Teen Face of Emalahleni 2024 category, Ntando Dlamini emerged as the winner, also being recognized as the Miss Teen Public Choice. Meanwhile, Nqobile Makhubela took the crown for the Miss Plus Size Face of Emalahleni 2024.

The event saw a prestigious panel of judges, including Patience Magagula, Ursula Ntuli, Najma Bham-Azam, Lindiwe Phakathi, Lindiwe Mtsweni, and Jabulile Mkhwanazi, who carefully selected the winners from a group of talented and confident finalists.

Special guests included MEC of Culture, Sports, and Recreation Leah Mabuza, Deputy Minister of Correctional Services Lindiwe Ntshalintshali, former executive mayor of Emalahleni Gloria Dlamini, Ndabezitha Sipho Mahlangu and Ndlukulu Thuli Mahlangu from the Soghutje Foundation, Emalahleni local municipality youth manager Vusi Nkosi, Billy Brown from the ABM Foundation, and Given Siboza, manager of the Emalahleni Culture Center.

The event’s Masters of Ceremony, Itumeleng Honeyworth and Given Mabena, kept the crowd entertained, while a performance by G2G and SirGio added excitement to the evening.

The Face of Emalahleni competition continues to provide young women in the region with opportunities to showcase their talents and pursue personal growth. This year’s winners, including Emihle “Emza” Sanela, are set to embark on exciting new journeys, equipped with prizes like cash, educational opportunities, and fitness benefits at Planet Fitness.
