DELMAS – The Linda Ka Zwane Foundation has taken a significant step in supporting the development of young girls through sport and education by sponsoring the Hoërskool Delmas netball team.
As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, the foundation delivered warm-up kits and water bottles to the team, symbolising its investment in the holistic development of young girls.
According to Linda Zwane, patron of the foundation, the gesture is part of their contribution to the girl child, adding that they found it fitting to plough back into the community by advancing school sport.
“School sport is the bedrock of any nation that seeks to dominate on the international scene. Our plough back is a symbol of commitment — for South Africa to thrive, we must empower young girls,” he said.
The foundation’s CEO, Lucky Neo, emphasised that the sponsorship aims to empower young girls through sport and education, fostering confidence, teamwork, and resilience, while promoting gender equality and challenging stereotypes.
“By investing in school sport, the foundation supports holistic development, equipping girls with essential skills and knowledge to succeed,” he said.
The team visited the school to deliver the sponsorship materials, demonstrating the foundation’s commitment to its mission.
The foundation’s management team — including CEO Lucky Neo, Transversal Manager Doubt Skosana, and Communication and Digital Manager Xolani Sibiya — were present to witness the impact of their efforts.
This initiative highlights the foundation’s dedication to empowering young girls and promoting their development through sport and education.
