TWEEFONTEIN – Asibakhuliseni, a non-profit organization (NPO) in the Thembisile Hani municipality, is gearing up to host an unforgettable event that will bring together the community, sports enthusiasts, and families for a day of non-stop fun and excitement. The academy will be hosting a colour run, aerobics, exercise, and kasi games in commemoration of Youth Day on June 16. This vibrant and energetic event, promising to be an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, will feature teams from around Thembisile Hani and Emalahleni. Sfiso Sindane, co-founder, explained that Kasi games are a series of fun and skill-based competitive events showcasing the talents of teams from soccer to netball.
He added that the event is designed to promote teamwork, brotherhood, and friendly competition among community members.
“Our mission is to identify, develop, and nurture young athletes, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in their chosen sport and reach their full potential,” he said.
“We bring together individuals from different places in Thembisile Hani to instil values such as discipline, hard work, and perseverance in young athletes, helping them to develop into responsible citizens and future leaders, ligotjwa lisemanzi. No registration fee is required. Join the fun with its unique blend of colour, excitement, and community spirit.”
The event is set to begin on June 15 with aerobics and a football tournament in Tweefontein K at Si Mashia Sports Ground at 07:00 am.
