EMALAHLENI – When people unite for a common purpose, they have the power to bring hope and support to those who need it most. This spirit of collective action was on full display as bikers from across Africa rallied together not only for the thrill of the ride but to make a lasting difference in the lives of children at the Siphosenkosi Centre, an orphanage in Ackerville, Emalahleni.
The Rebel 4 Africa Rally, organized by the Rebel Troops, brought bikers from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini, and Lesotho to Witbank Dam from October 18 to 20. Their journey to Siphosenkosi Centre, where they donated supplies and spent the day with the children, transformed the rally into an act of generosity, filling the orphanage with joy, laughter, and hope.
Sphiwe Nkosi, supervisor of the Siphosenkosi Centre, expressed deep gratitude for the bikers’ ongoing support. “We are so thankful for the kindness shown by the bikers. Their generosity means so much to us and the children,” she shared. The bikers’ visit brightened the day for the children, creating a sense of joy and hope.
The rally’s impact was strengthened by sponsors, including Mpumalanga Tourism Parks Agency, Top Class Lifestyle, SAB, Camping Culture, Super Group, Impenduloyezwe Projects, and Dithari Holdings, whose contributions ensured the weekend’s success.
The event reminded everyone of the profound impact of working together for a cause larger than themselves Following the visit, the riders returned to Witbank Dam for an afternoon of games and activities, including tug-of-war, wheelbarrow races, and competitions for the largest club turnout and best-dressed riders.
The weekend wrapped up with a prize-giving ceremony and more festivities, leaving everyone with a sense of accomplishment and community spirit.
