EMALAHLENI – Entrepreneur, Mentor, Counsellor and youth advocate Patience Magagula is calling on the public to help her secure a spot in the finals of the Mrs. Bold SA 2025 pageant — a platform she says is unlike any she’s ever entered before.

Having won several beauty pageants in the past, Patience says Mrs. Bold SA holds special significance. “This is the most meaningful pageant I’ve ever entered,” she told Highveld Chronicle. “It’s not just about beauty. It’s about purpose, strength, and celebrating women who rise from pain to purpose.”

Mrs. Bold SA is a national platform that recognises and uplifts married, divorced, widowed, and single mothers. It celebrates women for their resilience, impact, and authenticity under the theme “Beauty That Inspires.” The pageant encourages unity, culture, and community service — values Patience says she lives by every day.

Currently in the semi-finals, the eMalahleni-based finalist says her journey to this point has been deeply personal and transformative.

“To qualify, you don’t need a perfect past. You need a heart ready to rise,” she explained. “Reaching the semi-finals is not just a title for me. It’s a testimony of faith, healing and growth.”

Patience is no stranger to community work. She currently serves as a Student Liaison Officer, mentor, and counsellor, and is the co-founder of Ashor Amar Thalita Koum alongside Lindiwe Nkutha, Miss Queen of Purpose 2024 — a project she says was inspired by her participation in the Mrs. Bold journey.  “The foundation restores dignity and helps women and youth rise from pain to purpose through mentorship, healing, and mental wellness,” she said.

Asked why she believes she is the right candidate to wear the Mrs. Bold crown, Patience said, “I stand for everything the platform represents — integrity, empowerment, leadership and diversity. I’ve carried my scars with pride, and now I use them to uplift others. I lead with grace and purpose.”

Her journey through pageantry has been about far more than crowns and sashes. “Pageants have taught me that real beauty lies in authenticity,” she said. “To those who want to follow this path — come as you are. Let your story be your strength. Let your light shine boldly.”

Patience is calling on the public to vote for her and help her reach the finals.

To vote, SMS “AFRICA 1212” to 37587. Each SMS costs R5, and voting is unlimited. (Free SMSes do not apply.)

The finalists will be officially announced at the Bold Brunch & Sashing Affair on June 7, 2025. Tickets are available at https://qkt.io/nk4NDc

She thanked her supporters and everyone who has walked with her through this journey. “Thank you for seeing me, believing in me and standing by me. Your love is my strength. Let’s continue to rise — boldly, beautifully and unbreakably.”

Patience was styled by Prince Makgata the Designer and her makeup was done by Hana Glam Touch. For bookings and more information, she can be contacted on 064 559 3694.
