– Prayers of a young soccer team to own a kit were answered after a two-year ordeal.

The under-17 team from Rockdale, known as Eleven Experience United, has been without a kit since inception.

The team founded two years has adopted the dusty Rockdale grounds next to N4 as their home grounds. In their quest for sponsorship, they have been knocking on every business door available without success.

On Wednesday they received a brand new kit with soccer balls and cones from a local contractor.

“This donation will go along way in motivating the players and boost their morale. We have been knocking on every door of business in an attempt to get sponsorship for a soccer Jersey without success,” said coach Sifiso Maseko.

“Thanks so much to the contractor for taking our request seriously and saw the need to assist,” he said.

Maseko added that parents should encourage their children to come for practices every Monday to Friday and also try to assist wherever they can. “We are doing it for the future of their children, any kind of help is welcomed,” he said. He also appealed to other local businesses willing to assist to in terms of donations and sponsorships to contact Themba Mnguni on 079 321 8916
