Kriel – For the community of Kriel Women’s Day was more than a commemoration; it became a vibrant celebration of hope, unity and transformation.
Prudence Jabulile Ngwenya who wears many hats; wife, mother , professional beauty therapist, business coach and thriving entrepreneur, gathered women from all walks of life for a day designed to inspire, equip, and connect them spiritually, socially and economically.
The gathering was not only a celebration but also a platform for real conversations about the challenges women face and the opportunities within their reach.
Ngwenya’s journey to empowerment began in her own struggles. Like many women, she endured the strain of financial hardship while balancing family responsibilities and personal ambitions.
Refusing to be defined by these challenges, she transformed them into stepping stones. Using skills honed in the beauty industry and the opportunities offered by Forever Living Products, she built a life of independence, then began helping hundreds of women to do the same.
The seminar’s programme reflected the diversity and depth of women’s experiences. Silindile Mgwenya, an event decorator, shared creative strategies for overcoming unemployment, while Zola Mhlongo from Tow car business, Cash loan and Network marketing business offered insights on transitioning from employment to entrepreneurship.
Ngwenya spoke openly about balancing business and marriage successfully; and Precious Sambo, a poultry owner, gave practical advice for single mothers seeking financial and emotional stability.
For Ngwenya, the seminar was more than just a single event, it’s part of a larger mission as she hosts two seminars a month.
She strives to build women’s confidence, create sustainable income streams, break cycles of poverty, and serve as a living example of how family and business can thrive together.
Her guiding principle is simple but powerful: empowered women empower communities. “You don’t need to choose between being a good mother and being financially free. You can have both — and I’m here to show you how,” Ngwenya said.
