DELMAS – The two young founders of Visionary Movement brand and the Miss and Mr. Visionary Delmas pageant are making waves. The Visionary Movement brand began its journey when these two young men, Kagiso Nyakalo (22) and Siyabonga Langa (22), were still students at the Tshwane University of Technology’s eMalahleni Campus in 2020. They initiated their brand by organizing events on campus and inviting their friends. They expanded their business in Delmas by selling various types of graphic tees, textile printings, and hosting beauty pageants for teenagers in Delmas. Nyakalo mentioned that their target market is broad, stating, “Our target market is not just the youth of Delmas, but everyone.” He continued, expressing their plans to include a plus-size category in their beauty pageant. He also highlighted their advertising strategy, stating, “We promote our brand on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, utilizing our beauty pageant models to showcase our graphic tees on these social media platforms.” Their mission is to empower and mentor teenagers to start their own businesses as a side hustle. Nyakalo added, “Currently, we lack funding and require sponsors for our brand to achieve success. However, we believe that in the years to come, we will emerge as successful entrepreneurs and the biggest brand in South Africa.” “We firmly believe that hard work fueled by passion yields great rewards in the end,” Nyakalo emphasized. He concluded with advice for the youth, saying, “Be visionary, think positively, strive for greatness, contribute to the community, and inspire others within it. Everything is possible.”
