EMALAHLENI – At just 31 years old, Tshidi Monareng, a talented gospel singer hailing from KwaNdebele in Siyabuswa, is set to captivate audiences once again with the upcoming release of her second gospel album titled ‘Rebotile Mofenyi’ on May 11, 2024. With a voice described as golden and a passion for music that ignited at the tender age of 7, Monareng’s journey to musical stardom has been nothing short of remarkable.

“It might have just been something I naturally loved since I was 7, then I started hearing Joyous Celebration on the radio or watching them on TV. I began to see myself as one of their members.”

Having already made her mark by recording her first album back in 2009 while still in high school during grade 10, her dedication and talent have paved the way for what promises to be another soul-stirring musical offering.

“I have won the first position for the best vocalist or soloist at the Pentecostal Holiness Church music competition. In 2012, I performed at a major church conference in Cape Town. In 2019, I shared a stage with gospel stars Putuma Tiso, Thina Zungu, and many more.”

As the countdown begins to the much-anticipated release date, fans and music enthusiasts alike eagerly await the harmonious melodies and powerful lyrics that are sure to define Monareng’s latest musical masterpiece.

“In May 2023, I recorded a live second album featuring gospel artists Takkie Ndou, Futhi Mhlongo, and Bathanile Skhosane. The new album is very good, and it will bless and heal many souls.”

She further revealed that she wishes to have her own record company where she can help young people who are passionate about singing gospel.

“Having my record company helping those who are disadvantaged but have a passion for gospel music by establishing them through recording.”

She advised young people not to give up on their dreams. “Put God first, stay focused, and never get intimidated.”
